Title: problem with CTRL+C combo?
Post by: daniel_swe on February 11, 2009, 07:18:35 PM
Hello! Dont really know if this is the right forum for this but..

Im trying to install amigaexplorer on an A500, and when the pc tells me to interrupt the shellscript with CTRL-C combo, the amiga doesnt answer..

it answers on the C key and the ctrl key, but not the combo.. why is that?

Thanks for any help!

Daniel

I think you have to press Ctrl-C on the Amiga, then click Continue on the PC and then the Amiga answers.

If the Amiga does not answer at all, then probably the transmission has failed. Perhaps the cable is too long or too low-quality or the BAUD rate is too high.

I know that serial transmission without error correction protocol is a quite shaky thing.

Bye,
Thomas

You don't need to hold it down all the time. Just the answer arrives only after you click ok.
