Hi,
My Amiga 3000 wont run some software e.g. Darkside or Lemming and some other apps. The machine just hangs.
Any ideas how i can fix this?

You can't expect an A3000/4000/1200 to be fully compatible with all 500/2000 software, especially true for games, due to "creative" programming. About a third of A500 games do not work on my A1200, for example.

You'll want to use WHDLoad as its supposed to fix most/all of the incompatibilities. Make sure you've got other Kickstart images from your other computers in Devs/Kickstarts though, especially the A500 and A2000 ones. Gotta admit, I'm having problems getting a lot of games to work with the 2060 I just installed using my registered version (16.8) of WHDLoad. Not sure if Gwion is having problems using WHDLoad at all, but I get this error a lot:
Exception "NMI Autovector" ($7C) at $FF13252
(ExpMem $40252) occurred.
When this happens, adding 'NoAutoVec' to the tooltypes of the games icon seems to have solved the problem for this particular crash.

Probably expected with kickrom 3.1 (eg Gauntlet/Uridium 2 don't run on my A2000/3000 with rom 3.1, but work on A2000 rom 1.3).

Are you checking "no cache" and OCS when you go into the boot screen?
