Karlos made V1.
New improved version now falling on London, innit.
-
Took me two and a half hours to get from Chiswick to Highbury this morning... That sucked!
-
I love snow :-D I was only delayed by half an hour on my way to uni this morning, then just 10 minutes on my way home. I got back and had a snowball fight with the dog :-)

For a southern-born fellow such as myself, there is no end to the novelty of snow crunching underfoot.
You don't get this view on your way to work in downtown Joburg ;)

I just measured with a ruler in a patch of virgin snow, and on average 5.5 inches of snow fell today...
-
What? There's talk about inches and virgins and the thread hasn't deteriorated yet?
OT: Guess there'll be no snow here :-(

if I was there, I'd teach you how to make a snowball. yes, there IS a skill to it!

More snow coming on Friday.
This morning was treacherous on the walk to work. A lot of walked-down ice, very slippery.
I almost saw my arse without the help of a mirror!

All I'll say is this: It's grim oop norf!
Seriously, this city pretty much ground to a halt this week.
And I've learned newfound respect for wall cavity insulation...
Because this place doesn't have any.
It's weeks like this that I would even consider moving back to plymouth. :-o

Dear BBC News
Alright, we get it. It's snowing. Clearly you are very excited about this. I would like to inform you, though, that I am able to see that the snow is still there by looking out of my window. I can save you a lot of trouble by relieving you of the duty of reminding me every 5 minutes of the following pieces of information:
1. It has been snowing
2. There is a lot of snow
3. We haven't seen this much snow for "a generation"
4. It's difficult to drive in snow
5. Public transport is currently f**ked
6. Children like snow
7. Children like not being in school
8. It may, at some point in the future, snow again
9. We might run out of grit for the roads
10. Snow is cold
Thanks for understanding.

This image provided by the Alaska Volcano Observatory/U.S. Geological Survey shows the Redoubt Volcano, Friday, Jan. 30, 2009 near Anchorage, Alaska. Scientists with the Alaska Volcano Observatory on Friday flew close to Drift Glacier and saw vigorous steaming emitted from a football-size area on the north side of the mountain. By Saturday, they had confirmed the area was a fumarole, an opening in the earth that emits gases and steam, and that it had doubled overnight.
