Title: Toaster software
Post by: spaceman88 on January 28, 2009, 10:46:02 PM
Is there someplace I could download disk # 33 of the Video Toaster 4000 install disks? I just put a Toaster in my A4000 and made it to disk 33 (of 45!!) when I got a disk error message and the install was aborted. I know I could probably get the entire set on Ebay for $75, but that seems a little steep for a disk error, especially since I don't even know if the Toaster board works or not.
Thanks

Dear Friend:

Call Newtek and ask them to replace the disk.

Better yet order the last version of the Toaster/Flyer software, version 4.3, on CD-ROM and stop struggling with all those floppy disks.  Last time I checked NewTek was selling it for about $30-$40.  Well worth the price as it includes Lightwave 5.0 (or was it 5.5), the last Amiga version of Lightwave.

YUP! $40 for LightWave and Video toaster plus ~$10 for shipping. I ordered it last year. Comes with an Installer Floppy and a CDROM. I think the guy is there around 1300 in Texas time.

Yeah, I might have to go that way. I was trying to go on the cheap until I find out if the Toaster board worked or not. I didn't want to put too much money in something I'm probably just going to play around with a few times. Is there any way to test the board without the software?

Wow!! That's quite a collection of Amigas you have there TjLaZer. I thought I was doing well with my A500, A1200 and A4000!
