Title: Latest version of GCC?
Post by: xyth on September 07, 2003, 01:26:36 PM
Well I've decided that I'm going to try and and learn C, and I've decided to try out GCC.

I've had a look around and the latest version I've found is 2.7.0 on aminet, though there seems to be 2.9.5 for MorphOS which I don't have.

So before I dedicate my pitiful bandwidth to downloading the many necessary archives I thought I'd doublecheck first with everyone here.

Is GCC 2.70 the latest amiga version?  If not where do I find the latest version?

You need GeekGadgets and GCC.

Current GeekGadgets is at:
ftp://ftp.geekgadgets.org/pub/geekgadgets/amiga/m68k/snapshots/current/bin/

GCC is at:
ftp://ftp.geekgadgets.org/pub/geekgadgets/amiga/m68k/alpha/gcc/

Personally I'd use 2.95.x and not yet mess about with 3.x, which can be considered experimental.

Thanks!  Lots of other stuff I'd been looking for here too.
