Title: Can't use floppy discs... "incompatible size"
Post by: Red_Eye on September 07, 2003, 05:46:25 AM
Hiya,
When I try to unpack .adf files with yadi it says
"File and device data have incompatible sizes !"

It didn't say that before I put the tape over the High Density hole...

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Red

Nevermind... a reset seemed to solve the problem.    :-)    :-D

Had you considered just using DD disks, and not taped-up HDs?

HD disks are made to use a higher-strength magnetic field and don't work in a 880k Amiga Drive to the same reliability as do DD floppies.

@vortexau

I second that observation... I ended up buying a couple bricks of DD disks off an ebay store, since my taped up HD disks didn't take ADF images reliably.

I discovered that DD disks are definately hard to find these days!
