Title: A1200 clockport question
Post by: arnljot on January 20, 2009, 04:15:14 PM
Hi,

Looking at pictures at bboah.com here (http://bboah.com/cgi-bin/showhardware_en.cgi?HARDID=13), and reading this text (http://us3.aminet.net/docs/hard/clock_port.txt) on aminet on the a1200 clock port leaves me a little confused.

So to my questions:

1) What is the most common a1200 clock port, pins to the left or to the right, and how many pins?

2) Common a1200 clockport hardware: Will it work with either port, or is it "dual mode" or will it just work with one type?

3) Or are the "two sets of pin configurations" interchangeable?

Cheers,

the std clockport header has 22pins from right to left
if you have a mb with a full set of pins, you will need to cut off the other pins starting from the left side,

there was an earlyer mb with the clockport pins going from left to right this is not a good mb,
having said that, the mb might work ok, but you cant use this type of clockport for anything.
