I found the software on AMinet that allows the Amiga to communicate with a NIC in a Bridgeboard slot (with a Bridgeboard installed).
Anyone here ever try that? What can you do with it? Can I copy files between my Amiga and PC with it?

If it's the project I'm thinking of, I looked at it a couple times. What it does is make the ISA network card appear to be an Amiga network card. Like a really big x-surf. ;-) So yeah, you could network an Amiga to a PC with it... using SAMBA I suppose.

I will recommend this alien thread

first try to run ebserver from etherbridge package, if it runs on your card then maybe you will have more luck. ive abandoned it already

Really good reading. Thanks.
It looks like I need Etherbridge, and this file EmuNet09b.lha, with Sana2. And the packet drivers for my NIC, whatever that is (I'm about one iota above dumber than a stump when it cones to networking)
And I still have to dig around and find my dog gone old ASA NIC.

I used a 286 bridgeboard years ago and despiting what the docs state I got 300KB/s. It works great on both A4000 and A2000.
Just remember to download realtek msdos utility to configure which IRQ/memory zone does the network card use so you won't become crazy trying out different configs like our friend Chain ;-)
The packet drivers are simply the msdos drivers.
Using IDE drives to keep hardfiles also helps in some configs but it's possible to have the hardfiles in scsi drives with the right tweaking.

Thanks. As soon as I find my old ISA NIC I will give it a try.
