240 Euro for an 060? Are you serious?
I seen a Blizzard PPC go with 128Mb for £250 a few weeks ago
-
Ahhh jeez, here we go! lol
Are you talking about that complete system w/ 040&PPC that went for £277 that the seller really didn't want to ship?
For the record, I would have never sold my A1200 if I knew I could have gotten a 1260 for $318. I think that's a good price either way you slice it. Now anyway. When I was looking for one within the past year, they were always in the $500 range. Prices for this stuff really does fluctuate. Glad they're starting to come down again though!
In fact, I just paid $450 for an 060 for my A2000. Guess I was hornswaggled again! You just can't ever win with Amiga stuff unless your neighbours give you theirs for free!! lol
Funny thing about Miggy equipment... ever notice how it's usually FREE (or next to nothing) or 'way too much money'? Talk about getting it from both ends of the spectrum ;-) lol

240 euros for a Blizzard 060 is cheap in my opinion. If you consider that these boards are being sold from 350 to 450 euros. :-)

will the 060 fit ok in my standard A1200 miggy case? and will i need cooling?
cheers guys

Great question. When I was looking for one, I was told time and time again that YES, the 060 generates less heat than an 040, and YES, you can use it in a desktop A1200. BUT... you'll want to keep the trapdoor cover off and probably use higher standoffs on the bottom of the A1200 to allow for greater airflow.
I seemed to gather though that the consensus was that most 1260 users did not use their cards in a standard desktop.

The price for the Blizzard 2060 is ok.

hi guys I am new to amiga again after years away and just want to verify this will be ok in my stock miggy. anybody else running one?
-
This Blizzard 1260 will work on your stock A1200. Try to find a A500 PSU to power it.
First you have to install the 060 libraries on HD before you install the card.

thanx, where do i find thoes for future refference,

Hi, i may be interested in the Blizzard 1260, depending on whether Pubzombie is still interested and the shipping cost to the UK or is shipping included in the price?
