So, has anyone done any more experiments with the peroxide and UV light to remove the yellowing from plastic?
-
Nope. I had proven my point.
Even on slightly yellowing, the peroxide + a bit of TAED (the thing present on oxy-action "a-likes") + UV lamp or direct sunlight will white pretty well.
For big surfaces (like a monitor case), add xantam gum to the mixture and apply it.
I forgot something?

what's TAED

So its in washing powder. So what, you mix washing powder and Hydrogen peroxide and then cover your amiga case and leave it in the sun?

Hey look at your posts Chain.. 1234.. Very sequential. Don't post anymore and you can keep it. (o:
Seriously though doesnt it weaken the plastic ?

I have been doing the peroxide treatment with some A1200 cases and keyboard keys that were badly yellowed and the results were miraculous.
Just be careful with the grey keys it is easy to 'overcook' them and you'll be unhappy with the results... imho.
