Hello, I am thinking about purchasing Amiga Forever 5.3. I have tried a friend's out and I like the easy installation and the environment is setup nice. I am wanting to run it on my laptop.
I do not have any Amiga software anymore. Where can I get software to run on it? Is there somewhere besides Ebay to get a lot of old Amiga software?
I am in Indiana if that helps any.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank you!

For serious utilities etc, Aminet (http://us.aminet.net) still cannot be beaten.
For games try Back to the Roots (http://www.back2roots.org) - thousands of legal ADFs :-D

I also meant to ask if I am going to have any trouble with any particular software running on AF?
Does most software work well under Amiga Forever?

Amiga Forever uses UAE, and the emulation is very accurate - the only problems that I have ever seen is on demos with fades, as these seem sometimes to go slightly too slowly sometimes, but I've never heard of everyone else with that problem. What speed is the laptop?

Software compatibility won't be a problem. However, keep in mind that if you do buy stuff 2nd hand, that it will probably come on floppies. Your PC cannot ever read Amiga floppies, and I doubt you can add a catweasel to your laptop. So be careful, they'll be useless to you unless you can get someone with a real Amiga or a catweasel to ADF them for you.

You'd also be able to use two disk drives an a hack called "disk2fdi", but again that won't be any good on a laptop :-(

Ahhhhhh, very good advice, thanks guys!
It looks like my best bet would be to probably download from the web any software that I would like to use.
