Title: genlock region sensitivity?
Post by: Naton on January 07, 2009, 07:27:17 AM
Hi, just trying to find out if genlocks are PAL/NTSC specific, and need a matching Amiga to run? Info appreciated :-)

Yes, genlocks are norm-specific, at least when they offer composite and/or s-video signals as those are not at all compatible (are there RGB-only genlocks?).

It should be sufficient to switch your Amiga to the matching norm, but it may be required to swap the chipset crystal as well for 100% exakt timing.
