It's with great sadness that I have to inform the Amiga community the passing of Asha DeVelder on Jan 3, 2009. Many will remember her as moderator of the FidoNet International AMIGA Echo. She attended many of the early Amiwest shows in Sacramento, so some of you may have had the fortune to have meet her in person. She hosted a Sunday night irc chat every week for many years where friends could get together & enjoy each others company. I'm proud to say I was part of her World & she was part of mine.
I & many others will miss you sweetheart..

I recall seeing her name all over the place, but never knew her personally. I express my condolences to her family, friends, and all others who grieve for her.

Hi Sundown ;)
Yes, I knew of her through Team Amiga, she was a kind soul and very humourous. She will be missed by many people.
RIP, Asha.

oh, no!
that'a very sad
I was on those sunday chats a couple of times - was fun
it's these type of people that make the Amiga community have good moments

Thanks for posting that, Ken. I didn't know what to say. :-(
I'd been a regular on those chats since they were held on Compuserve to meet with the Philly reporter covering the CBM bankruptcy. Asha will be missed by all of us still there, and those who've been there over the years.

Very sad news indeed. I enjoyed the Sunday night chats and the sounds library on the AmiCUE.org site. She was known to many Amigan and AmiCUE member. She will be missed from the scene. :-(

Sad news indeed.
I remember Asha well from various chat rooms and all over the Amiga community. I found a pic of her that she had sent me.

Rest in peace, Asha.
I remember your warm welcome the time I joined in on the Sunday night irc chat. It was my first time on an online chat with so many people.

Bummer.
Meet her during AmiWest98. Talked alot about Amiga paint programs and creating Art with Amiga systems.
RIP Asha

Sincere Condolences to all who knew her.
A great loss.
While I was reading her sister's blog and browsing her website I couldn't help but remember this AV from Eric Schwartz.
I hope its appropriate and sincerest apologies if anyone feels it is not (If so reply/pm and I will remove)
