Title: IndivisionAGA + FastATA 1200 MKII
Post by: beltrixx on January 06, 2009, 05:06:07 PM
Hi,

I have an Elbox Fastata 1200 MKII controller and I'm very interested in IndivisionAGA adapter.

I was wondering if Indivision installation would collide with my FastATA MKII controller.

Does anyone know if both are compatible?

Thanks in advance,

Manel.

My information is that will collide. One Amiga hardware technician here tells me that is possible to rise the FastATA and intall the Indivision.

I thought that Jens design the Indivision so it will not collide with the IDE Fix made by Individual Computers.

I have both IDE Fix and FastATA and I prefer the FastATA. It is faster than IDE Fix.

Oh, what a pity!

It would be wonderful using both the Fastata and the IndivisionAGA.

Hope that Jens Schoenfeld makes some minor changes to the original design just to allow this possibility.

They will fit together but only in a tower I think, you just have to install a couple of empty kickstart rom sockets so that the FastATA clears the Indivision AGA.

Yes this is correct, they will fit with a ROM riser (even in a desktop case).

Would there be enough room to fit a Mediator as well?

Nope, don't think so.

FastATA + Mediator = ok
Indivision + FastATA = ok
Indivision + Mediator = ok
Indivision + Mediator + FastATA = not ok

Only in a towered system. Mediator will run nicely with the Indivision and the FastATA, don't accept any other opinion!

Anyway, the Mediator itself will not fit inside the desktop 1200, since it will make any kind of accelerator "not-fit able".

Yeah, never mind the mediator itself, or the pci gfx card sticking out of it ... it's clearly the accelerator card that would be the problem
