Title: Is Microbotics 1230XA compatibe with FastATA gold 1200?
Post by: beltrixx on January 04, 2009, 07:44:54 AM

I would like to know if anybody knows for sure whether the Elbox Fast ATA Gold 1200 Controller is compatible with the Microbotics 1230XA accelerator card.

I'm having some problems with the controller (see my other posts) and I think perhaps there's some kind of incompatibility between the controller and my accelerator card.

I would like to receive info on the compatibility of this two cards, please.

Thank you very much.

Regards,

Manel.

Because of the nature of the hardware connection of FastATA that uses only the Rom conectors, one socket over one Amiga custom chip and only one connection over the IDE connector I am sure that is impossible any hadrware incompatibility with any accelerator, card etc. If there is any incompatibility this can resides in the software. But it is simple, only a driver. I thought that the FastATA is compatible with the Microbotics accelerator.

Thanks jrfjunior, for your answer.

I'll try to find a method to install OS 3.9 despite the software error messages I'm having.

Someone in the CUAZ Amiga mailing list told me he had had the same problems with a Fast ATA time ago, so I hope with a little patience I'll find a method to install it.

Manel.
