Title: Blizzard 030 & FPU ?
Post by: klx300r on January 01, 2009, 03:55:59 PM
I'm a bit confused on whether an oscillator is needed to add a fpu to my Blizzard MK III 030 card..the manual states all you have to do is set a jumper but I read a few threads stating the crystals were needed :-? (my cpu is at 50 and my fpu is at 40 btw)

The FPU will handle the extra frequency, no worries.

But if you want, buy a new 40MHz crystal from Amigakit or the preferred electronics site you wish (Farnell, Futurlec, Digikey, etc).

The unit is a 5V, 8-pin DIP spacing, for your information.
