What a lousy way to start off the new year. I simply added a board to my SCSI chain and when I attempted to test everything out, the entire computer is now completely dead. It was working perfectly about an hour ago, now absolutely nothing. All connections look secure. The PSU in my unit is a Taiwan Liton unit 200 Watts output (120V input as with all USA stuff). That's not an original unit, is it? Any suggestions on what could have possibly gone wrong? Could I be missing something? -- or good sources for replacement power supplies, since that's perhaps my only choice at this point? Thank you. -Dave

hi well yes my xbox 360 red ringed 1 day before 2009 hmm l suspect something there .
had same thing happen with first amiga 2000 l brought athough was my fault left leaking battery not good then make matters worse caused psu to die all on very orginal machine still had seal on the case agggh l should be shoot.
l just suggest taking your machine back to basic config athough of course unless fan spining and u have no lights on the front l say the psu is broken .
u can get pc supplys to work on 4000 machines so assume ucan with the amiga 2000 .
good luck with your machine

I'm fairly sure the LiteOn is the original PSU. Softhut might have spares if you determine that's the cause of your problem.

Thats exactly the same that happened to my A2000 maybe 1 year ago, i added a 68030 accelerator card to it and the old PSU did not stand the load. Now i have a modified ATX PSU connected to my A2000 and everything works fine.

Or you can use internal tick ;-)
