As many may know, the Minimig has an optional jumper which if set to 15khz, it will output a signal which is ideal of old school TVs... Unfortunately my soldering skills are non existant, so I was wondering if someone can make (for a price of course) me a VGA to RGB/Scart cable :)
Or else, if someone can provide the exact pinout - so I can ask for a friend of mine (who can solder) to make it for me :)
Hey Amigakit, maybe this is an idea for a new product ;)
Anyway thanks, and happy new year everyone!

Do a quick google search for "VGA to RGB cable" and you should find an online souce near you.

Er no. From VGA to RGB SCART cable.

Not sure if you have to send display information.

Oh shame, my TVs have RGB RCA type plugs.
Try this site then:

Yeah, you have VGA to component :)
Anyone knows if this would work to connect a Minimig to a CRT TV via rgb/scart?

To my understanding that should work as long as minimig displays correct screenmodes (PAL or NTSC).

I wonder if pin16 on the rgb/scart connector would be correctly connected (at proper voltage) otherwise most TVs wont switch to RGB mode.

Hi,
I suggest you to look at the solution for Amstra MegaPC (the one with a Sega MegaDrive/Genesis on an ISA slot). It use the VGA output in 15 Khz mode, but it can't work directly with your TV, you need to build a circuit for the video sync !
CLICK HERE !!! (http://www.tkk.fi/Misc/Electronics/circuits/vga2tv/circuit.html) ;-)

I dont need all that. Minimig has a jumper which sets the output @ 15khz. All I need is a straight and plain cable which includes RGB switch on pin 16 @ 2 volts (or something like that).
