Bull.
This is the fastest 030 accelerator in the world, it does about 10.5 MPS (because of the EDO support):

surely someone somewhere has dropped a 56, 60 or 66Mhz crystal on am 030 board to see what would happen?
-
I'm sure someone must have done at some time.
Anyway, my Blizzard MkIV with its original 50MHz crystal is operating at 51.85MHz according to SysInfo, I think it's the Burst mode and 60ns EDO simm helping things out.
-
I remember most OC trials with 030 ended with 55-56 MHz max, it's not too overclockable.
-
sorry it's a very bad result !
Even my stock B1230-IV (256mb EDO) performs about 15 Mips ...
here (http://amiga.resource.cx/perf/sysspeed.pl?amiga=A1200&testgroup=cpu&testgroup=ram&id=a3640&order=mips)
-
is that with P96speed?
sysinfo rates my stock blizz1230-IV at around 9.91Mips,
P96speed rates the same at the same as yours ~15Mips :)
so i'm guessing its been measured with sysinfo...
-
I guess mine must be the worlds fastest then cause SySInfo has my Blizzard 030 III slighlty higher with a stock 50 Mhz CPU, 32 Mb ram (60ns) & no FPU (yet that is..should be here soon :-)
but hey the guy must be in marketing as it got alot of peoples attention and non Blizzard/Apollo etc. owners would be impressed I guess

Turkey

I use 56MHz crystals on mine Microbotics MBX1230XA, but I had to use heatsinks on CPU & FPU, plus add a fan blowing air into 'em.
Sysinfo says ~9 dhrystones, AFAIR.

This is the fastest 030 Turbo: http://www.a1k.org/forum/showthread.php?t=11088
The GB A1000 with Sram. ;)

Come on guys, he's talking about the world's fastest 1230 which might be true, even it's not the single fastest 1230...
It's a moot point discussing which one's the fastest '030 - after all there are so much faster '040s and '060s around. Then again, any old PC running UAE runs circles around the 'world's fastest '060'. :-P
-
I'm said, I don't see more faster 1230 family card, because I have blizzard 1230 IV too, but magnum much faster with 70 ns ram...
Note: GBA1000 another system, it have a 32 bit new tecnology ram chip...

MIPS - Meaningless Information about Processor Speed
You cannot compare MIPS results from different programs.
BTW I had Blizzard 1230-III running at 56MHz.

Let's pretend we can... my blizzard 1230III at 48.9MHz ticks in 12.23 bogoMIPS, and hence wins this competition :-D
