Title: Troubles with Blizzard PPC
Post by: FrankBrana on September 04, 2003, 06:06:10 PM
Hi Dudes!

I have a Blizzard PPC on my 1200, with SCSI, but I have never tried to used tehm since a time ago...

Now I´m booting from SCSI HD, but I can´t get mounted the CDROM devices.

I see it from SCSI config and so

What exactly I have to do?

Thank you in advance

PS: I have no software for the SCSI controller at all. I dunno if its need in order to get running the CDROM devices.

Sounds like you need software for the cdrom something like idefix97 would let you setup the cdrom and mount it . :-)

Get hold on CD-ROM filesystem (preferably one that supports Joliet extensions).
Set it up and make the CD0 mount entry use blizzppc.device unit x (where x is the unit number of the CD-ROM).

The software is inside the BlizzardPPC flashrom, so it's always there.

IIRC BlizzPPC flashrom even has it's own cd-rom filesystem built-in, not sure how you set up system to use it though. Was it creating a mount entry for CD-ROM and setting it use specific DosType? or something. Not sure.

You haven't specified if the cdroms are scsi or not. You should have a utility that come with your blizzard card to detect if they show also.

Evidently, all my units are SCSI ones. How the hell are going to work with the blizzppc a IDE unit?

I have no software at all
