Title: A500 accessories wanted
Post by: ruthven on December 23, 2008, 03:34:30 PM
I just won an A500 on eBay (my first ever Amiga!) but it is totally bare bones and only comes with a power supply;  I need the following accessories:

Workbench 1.2 3.5" floppy disk(s)
A520 video modulator
Amiga-compatible mouse (old "tank" style is fine)

I'm currently watching some bids on eBay for the video modulator and mouse, but I figured I'd post here to see if anyone could hook me up with a deal... :)

Thanks!

it would be helpful if you posted where you are located cause shipping over the pond might cost higher than the items value. (there's also the notion of NTSC vs PAL A520)

Didn't think of that--I'm in the US (Maine) so I need an NTSC video modulator.

Im also looking for an A520, im in Aus looking for PAL version!!

@ruthven
Next thing you'll be wanting is an A590!!! (or similar) having a harddrive in the 500 makes it much more useful, i love mine!!

ruthven:
 If EBay doesn't work out, you could try www.oldsoftware.com , they may have some 520's left (I bought one of mine from there)
I second the vote for a hard drive for your 500. Sadly, as with a lot of Amiga hardware, they aren't cheap.
Most hard drive interfaces for the 500 will be SCSI, make sure  you can hook up additional SCSI devices, if needed.
I miss my A500 ....  :cry:
It had '030/50Mhz, 32MB RAM, 1GB HDD, Zip drive, DCTV, Epson Stylus Photo ... not too bad for a 500 ....
