I remember a particular game which I would like to play again, but unfortunately its name escapes me. Here is a brief description:
1. You play a soldier in some arabian desert
2. The game is a side scroller.
3. You had a choice of different weapons such as rifle, health, knife etc.
4. The first level started (I think) by dropping off a helicopter, then there was a truck and you had to hide under it. You could crawl and shoot I think.
5. You could enter tents to get more ammunition etc.
Any ideas? Thanks!

Just rememberd. Fireforce :)

health is a weapon?

Maybe someone can help me remember a game too.
There was a game for the A500 that I had a demo for when I was a kid, and I really liked the demo, but never came across the game.
The game is a side-scrolling shooter similar to Contra, Metal Slug, Turrican, etc.
It involves a futuristic hero who travels through time to different places and periods in history.
The demo had an Egyptian level.
That's all I can remember.

That sounds like Titus the Fox to me... (Although, not really a futuristic hero)

@Everblue
Airborne ranger?
edit: ok you already solved it :-)

@Kedawa
I would say Assassin, If not maybe Strider?
-
Fireforce :)

@Everblue
This thread made me think of Airborne ranger so i just copied my airborne ranger adf file to my minimig and hoops seems like i am hooked to this wonderful game, thanks a lot ;-)

I checked out Assassin, but that's not it. Strider is one of my favorite games ever, at least on MegaDrive/Genesis, so I know it isn't that either.
I'll have to keep looking.
There's also this other game I've been thinking about. It's like Rastan or Black Tiger, but I think it's exclusive to the Amiga. It isn't Barbarian. I believe the hero wore armor and may have been a viking.

If garlic is involved, it is :-).

@Kedawa
Is Leander the title of your second game?
-
Nope. Leander does look pretty cool, though.

Fire Force, brill game!!! Hard!

@ Kedawa
The game you descibe might be Deliverance - a platform game featuring a Viking slaying all manner of beasties and naked women strung up in a castle. Agreat game with strange motion sickness inducing scrolling! :lol:

Typical I never know the games people mean in these threads and for the first time I knew straight away because I have got the CD32 version ( which was a real dissapointment as its just the files off the disks on the cd, from memroy about 2mb on cd ,. what a waste) and loads of people beat me to it.

That's not it, either.
I wonder if the game I played was ever released.
I played a demo ages ago and it didn't even have sound yet.
The only other clues I can come up with are that the character had a red plume on his helmet and the first level of the demo had a cloudy grey sky in the background.

The first game I mentioned, with the shooting and all that, is called Zone Warrior. Not as good as I remembered.
The second game remains a mystery.
