It's a great solution for an A1200 desktop to put a cheap external hard drive outside and ethernet.

You should put a Christmas boxed set together:
A1200 desktop
2.5" Internal IDE Hard Drive
Indivision VGA adapter
Subway USB
External USB DVD+RW
USB Ethernet adapter with your great Easynet software.

The USB stack is now tied directly to the presence of the appropriate hardware. You can download the latest version directly from Chris Hodges' website here. (http://www.platon42.de/index2.html)
