I'm not sure to where i should put the topic.
but here goes...
My Efika motherboard arrived today. It is fitted with a radeon 9200se (128mb ram) gfx card.
Have not yet come around to test it...
will do soon..
However...
What kind of "off the shelf" cases fits the efika?
does not need to bee nice...
I found this (http://www.polywell.com/us/TowerDeskPC/Mini-ITX-506B.asp) will the efika fit in it?
EDIT:
Oh. and a question.
On the underside of the efika there is solder pads just like the pads where the memory chips is located on the upper side of the board.
Will it be possible to upgrade to 256 mb ram if same chips are found?

no "do it yourself" ram expansion option
can be done safely. I can't comment on the case
as they are a few unique options. give
a post on www.morphzone.org or search
those postings to see what they did for
casing. I used an efika designed case
cheers! see you on the blue side :-D

Thanks mate...
I think i try to build something.
but first i have to get a usb keyboard and mouse...
But at least the computer boots up and shows the B logo and blinking cursor. A good sign i hope... :-)

I don't think thats completely booted! sometimes you have to reboot it till it has some more text and says smartfirmware...ect or maybe because its looking for keyboard.
Good luck on the case... I just used an old external floppydrive case, it had front led for power and hdd..

According to bplan (http://www.bplan-gmbh.com/output.php?PAGE_ID=168) it is possible to configure the efika with up to 512 MB ram...
Does anyone know how to do that?
Or can anyone who speak German ask bplan how to...?

you cant increase the ram on the efika. you can PAY bplan to produce a run of boards with expanded ram, if you want to pay for a couple of thousand boards.
basically, it is impossible to increase the efiak ram.
wait for efika2 :)

hmmm...
and what will efika II be?
Any visions?
