Post by: Daniele on December 13, 2008, 01:22:17 AM
Hello,

I have formatted and installed several times OS3.9 , Idefix Express and the Mediator CD. But as soon as I finish to install the Mediator files ( FashEthernet , Voodoo etc etc ) and I re-boot I cannot enter into the OS 3.9 WB because I have this requester and computer freeze:

Software Failure

Program Failed

( error @80000020 wait for disk activity to finish)

[Suspend]                                 [Reboot]

I am going crazy!

Can you help me?

Some months ago I was able to install Voodoo 3 and everything flawlessy!

What if you put the first line onto the startup-sequence:
so you see how long the script goes until some command crashes?

I had the same type of error and found it was caused by the Soundblaster driver, after removing it everything was fine.

Hi, I have this problem many times and the problem was in the connection of the FastATA over the custom chip. As you are using IdeFix Express look at the connection over the custom chip (remove and insert it).

Good luck.
