Hi Guys,
Yesterday I joined some of my friends and family in a virtual community called YoVille which is part of facebook. Thousands of people all over the world must be controlling these characters. You report to the factory every 6 hours to get paid money to buy stuff to do up your apartment, buy clothes and goodness knows what else.

So far it's been great fun chatting to people on there instead of in the chat windows of facebook and MSN :-)
-
wow, an amiga 'second life' - what a concept!
-
Nuts!! :-D
I have enough problems in my first life, I don't need a second one!
-
How can you have a second life if you don't have a first life, to begin with?
And, oh where oh where are my manners? Hiya A4000! :-D

Hahaha, I mean: I don't have enough time for my first one :-D

I see, well if the second one is really good then you could drop the first entirely!

Truely a sickness.
But I would be remiss if I didn't point out that your "Amiga" is actually an Apple Lisa, it is pictured correctly on the table but appears with the twiggy drives on the wrong side on the chest of drawers...
You can have one (http://cgi.ebay.com/Rare-Vintage-Apple-Lisa-2-5_W0QQitemZ170295206526QQihZ007QQcategoryZ80075QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) in your non-virtual life too!
-
The Amiga looks great - especially against magenta walls
-
A quick trip to photoshop to reverse the Apple Lisa image (ie create a mirror image) like the one sitting on the chest of drawers...

In a student house I lived a couple of years ago, there were also plants in the kitchen, but that had more to do with basic hygiene rather than decorative purposes...
/me runs back to work

How about a poster for your wall?

But why are the Lisa's mirror images in the kitchen and bedroom?

Ah yes, that's what I meant
When it was raining outside, some of us had the enlightened idea to use the balcony as a dishwasher, with just letting the rain do it's work. Very environmentally friendly indeed, but then forgetting about it for a week or two will end up with dishes covered with algae and stuff like that

Is it a good thing when a girl (or male partner) poos in front of you?

Whatever floats your boat (http://poponthepop.blogspot.com/2008/01/toilet-for-couples-hot-links.html).
:-)
You are too young in A.org terms to be aware of my boat floating antics... But suppose if you will, that you are performing your daily ablutions... Only for the aforementioned partner to enter the bathroom (or where your preferance takes you), unsolicited, and share with you their most private of moments... Would you consider this a positive or retrograde step in an, up to now, stable relationship?
-edit- in other words... Now when she says "I love you", all I can picture is her crimping one off...
-
@bloodline
You could see it as a sign of how comfortable she is with you (and lock the bathroom door from now on...)

And live in a cocoon, yes. Well, I disagree with that. Life has it's dirty, nasty side, and if you don't want to understand that, you'll later be confronted by certainly nastier surprises.
Also, I think, if someone isn't a vegetarian, he should see in life how an animal is butchered (or, well, how food is being made/processed in general). I've seen the lot. And I don't eat any less because of it.

sorry, speel, but I don't need to see people sh1ting in front of me. that's not living in a "cocoon"
that's just not being grossed out everyday
I've changed other people's babies diapers. I know what poo looks like. for babies it's necessary, for adults, it's stupid

Then say it's stupid, not like you'll never see it

SO hows the Apple Lisa doing?

I joined when I was invited to it, but I haven't been back since. Reminds me of The Sims or what was that funny pixel art community site? Habbo Hotel? Xbox Live has some 3D equivalent also.
I'm more interested in working my way through GTA IV atm.

I found a "real" Amiga for sale in 2nd life (not an Apple Lisa mirror image)

Are you going to bring your Apple Lisa to the Demo party?
