I noticed on the Vesalia site that the OS for the Samiga 440 is Beta. Is this in light of the pending court case? Do Beta uses get upgraded when the full version becomes available?
-
Hi! nothing to do with the pending court case, the reason its beta is simply because they were rushed to get the os out. Registered owners will get a free full version when ready and maybe a rear cover  for there motherboards.
Seriously the beta runs just fine a few minor gripes but its pretty solid. :-D
cheers.

Thanks. Heres hoping buying a unit will help the ailing world economy :)
-
ha! ha! you may help the worlds economy mate but you will seriously damage yours  but go on you know you want one really you do trust me :-D

Yeah but im a bit worried about the USB being a bit dicey from what i hear. Spend spend spend. Thats what the Rudder says. :)

If you are referring to free updates, not too long ago they said that you will need to pay for a new version instead of getting the free update.

There was an issue with booting from USB drives but that has now been sorted.
Haven't had any issues myself.

AmigaOS 4.1 for SAM440ep is still in beta stage. Don't worry though, it runs fine.
The only problem that you will encounter will be the USB. From what I heard and saw, half people don't have problems with USB and the other half have (that includes me too!).
