Title: iFusion issues
Post by: sniken on December 07, 2008, 08:29:38 PM
I'm running A4000/PPC with iFusion 1.3.
I have one problem during startup. It ask me to insert "AUDIO". Disabling sound in iFusion makes it start. As far as i know the sound is supported. I haven't encountered any other sound problems with other software.

Second, after I have booted the OS9.1 CD and chosen a customized install and about to start coping files it makes my install partition vanish. I get an error that it can no longer find the partition I'm trying to install to. Yes, the partition was there prior to the install. I could initialize it, open it, copy things to it, etc.

Any suggestions to what i can try?

AUDIO: is usually a DOSDriver for AHI. Do you have AHI installed?

iFusion is a buggy mess, though. Not sure what else might work. Try making sure the partition is under the 4GB barrier, since the program might be that dumb.

AHI is installed and is working with other sound applications i have installed. iFusion is on a 2GB partition and is the second partition, first being a 256MB one.

I dug up a new HD that I attached to the SCSI chain, repartitioned it with one 4GB partition. I tried once more to make a hardfile on that partition to use with iFusion. Same happened; as i was about to install the OS the partition disappeared. I then chose the whole partition to be used instead and had better luck with that, the OS installs now.
No luck on the "AUDIO:" issue though. Tried having AHI installed and not, doesnt matter. I just disabled sound for now.
