Title: FBlit install issues (A1200, 0S 3.9, Indivison + HighGFX)
Post by: NovaCoder on November 30, 2008, 10:34:20 PM
As I'm a bit short on chipram, I thought I'd try installing FBlit from Aminet.  The install instructions appear easy enough but I couldn't get it working.  Whenever my 1200 fired up it would complain that FBlit was not executable?  After checking the infomation on C:\FBlit it was indeed not executable.  If I set it to executable it just corrupted my desktop and then became unstable?

Anyone got any ideas?

How many colors are you setting your screen mode to?  I think more than 32 or 64 and FBlit will give you trouble.

I think I might be running at 128 colours.  What about the executable status of the file though, that bit is very strange?

I've had that non-executable issue in the past, making it executable should be all you need.

I'd give it a shot at 32 colors, that seems to work for me.

@NovaCoder: FBlit is delicate to handle. Some options not set right, and it might result in your computers symptoms.

Try using FBlitGUI and simultaneously RTFM. ;-)
