Hello everybody. I just bought a bunch of amiga's for a very good price. ONe of them is an Amiga 500 with a 2.5" internal IDE hard drive. When I turn the machine one, I can hear the drive spinning fine but for some reason, all I get is the amiga welcome screen asking for me to insert a disk. It has 2.0 Kickstart and 2 megs of memory. When I attempt to install WB 2.04 through "HDtoolbox", it appears to not recognize the hard drive but states "no driver installed". Do I need to install a driver to make the HD work because I didn't have to do that with my 2 Amiga 3000's. If I do need a driver, where do I get it. Thanks.

there are a number of vendors who produced such cards. you should open up your a500 and see which brand it is. or check devices for suspicious ones. (sysinfo)

Getting rare these cards. Can you photograph and upload pic or mail me private. Also be very very careful.
Please post with what you find. The machine may also be switched for an external drive to fire up so you may be missing the sidecar.
