Yesterday was a day completely dedicated to meetings.
We started at 9, and we were done at 18
9 hours...
And we say we're agile. But we're just doing waterfall in shorter iterations.
Does anyone in Oslo need a shop clerk, or maybe I'd just quit my job and start working in a kindergarden like I did when I was 19.
Right now I'm tired of consulting, and I'm tired of the IT Industry.
People stuck on the estimate-Heroin and belief in magic. And also the ingrown resistance to change.
/Rant off
To future employers. Yes, I know google will index this. And yes, you will check me out with a google search.
I don't care. I'm human, and I'm allowed to vent.
And maybe. If I get second thoughts, I can always edit this. Unless wayne or another moderator locks me out ;) LOL

I can relate. I was in much the same situation a couple of years ago when I was working in IT. It was utterly depressing to consider doing that for my whole career, so I got out while I could. I'm almost half way through my degree now, so in another 18 months I will qualify as a Speech and Language Therapist. No more boring, soul-destroying, meaningless work for me.
Get out while you can and do what you love!

I feel your pain. I've been away from work for a week and I'm dreading going back to the office. There are many times that I wish I didn't drop out of Computer Arts to do Computer Science. I hate spending my life just surviving through the week so that I can spend each weekend dreading going back on Monday.
Jeez, I've been dying to blurt that out for months.

I am pretty bored too. My employer has micro-managed all the fun out of software development.
I could become a contractor, but the market is pretty slow at the moment. I am not qualified to do anything else though...!
