Title: A2000 286 Bridgeboard and VGA card
Post by: mpiva on September 02, 2003, 04:16:27 PM
I just installed a A2286 bridgeboard into an old A2000 I have and I'm having troubles getting my VGA card and 20MB hardcard to work at the same time.

The A2000 has AmigaOS3.1, 9 megs RAM, and a Supra28Turbo card.

The VGA card is an ATI VGA Wonder 16 card and the hardcard is just some generic HD controller card with a 20MG drive attached.

Without the VGA card, the hardcard works fine and boots into DOS, but once I install the VGA card, the VGA cards works great but the bridgeboard will no longer recognize the hardcard.  Anybody know how I can get the two to work together?

On a side note, if I use the emulated CGA on its own screen, the system freezes (even without any VGA card).

I haven't tried to plug a VGA card, but maybe you should disable Mono and color outputs in the "PCPrefs"

Check the jumper settings on both cards and make sure there's no conflict... To me it sounds like you have an addressing conflict between the two cards.
