Not sure might be. I can understand os4 is taking ages and ppc linux is not that much fun.I built my amigaone g4 xe installed linux tryed it for a few hours then put it up out of the way until os4 arrives. While im waiting im messing about with my classic amiga,s . :-)  :-?

well the original amigaone was a G3/600, and now the current models are g3/800 and g4/933's...
and we should see that continued, who knows, but by the time OS 4 is out, maybe G4 1.25's....

and we will also see the price come down, I think, as early demand tapers off.

Its the usual pattern with technology, of course.  I think waiting for OS 4 to be released,
is the way to get the best deal.  I don't think demand of AmigaONE's will be constrained...
having, as it turns out, plenty of time to work out all manufacturing issues before the release
of OS 4.

And I find it interesting, that the OS 4 tour and the placing of adverts on amiga.org, which
were meant to convince us that the release of OS 4 was imminent, turned out to be, just as I stated,
proof of nothing.

I do hope your friend gets as much of his money back as possible, but I also think that waiting
for the actual release of OS 4, is the wisest move, and will net a person the most machine for
their money.
