Title: A1200 motherboard size
Post by: orange on November 24, 2008, 02:14:29 PM
Does anyone know exact size of A1200 motherboard?
(need to know the length)
I'm considering buying ZalmanGS1000 full-tower case for it, and specs say it can take E-ATX motherboard which is 304.8 mm x 330.2 mm

Hi Orange

The 1B motherboard I have is 390mm long x 190mm wide. With the back ports its 200mm wide in the shielding. So it looks as if it will not fit in that tower. I think there is a different motherboard version were the piece with the mouse and joystick ports on, are on a seperate piece pushed onto the rest of the motherboard. So that would reduce the length to about 320mm. If I recollect correctly you could get an adapter to turn that bit through 90%.

That's the 2B motherboard. It's just the mouse port thats on a seperate miniboard connected to the main board.
