Hi phantom,you helped me via the aros computer that faithful night to hook up my network on my sam440ep.

Anyway, I thought OWB had the capability to view youtube??

Also, I got a new PSU for my nexus case, remeber that same faithful night you helped me, my psu died, and I thought it was my mobo for a moment, hence was really stressing out, as Ive waited for so, so long to even have a capable amiga OS.

Another note, how do I get heretic 2 demo working ad freespace demo working on my SAM440ep??

Lastly, I noticed the shogo demo locks up my amiga, and it does it to my friends A1.

But heretic2 and freespace should be running, as they arent locking up, anyone know how I cn get the demos working, so I can see if I want to get heretic 2 or freespace??

Also, Again,totally off the topic of youtube, sorry, but, will amiga writer 2.2 run on my sam440ep?? I know the demo version of Art effect 4 does.
Was thinking of buying these, but, after consideration, if anyone can give me a web link where to buy candy factory or to try it out, let me know by posting it here.

Thanks.

P.S. We should have a total support thread going for us sam440ep people, whereby anything is sayable if it is software/hardware related, within the same thread??

OH, btw, Ive been using my amiga everynight so far since ive retrieved it, I havent even rehooked my pcs back into the power sources. haha. :-D

Interesting how he couldn't quite bring himself to say Webkit was from Apple...

He actually said he didn't know which browsers used WebKit.

Still pretty funny considering I've seen more than one OS4 supporter bashing Apple because "Apple doesn't support open source". Meanwhile they turn around and praise OWB probably without even realizing that OWB is just a port. (http://www.sand-labs.org/owb)

@ Jorkany:

Admittedly, I barely use OWB, I mostly use IBrowse 2.4, only on the odd occasion I may try OWB for a short moment, but I have found not much difference between IBrowse 2.4 and OWB, apart from some sites soming up a little nicer.

@ All:
Was just curious, If vesalia, and the like are out of stock here and there, how many sam boards have they sold by now?

I got my amiga system directly from the italian mob Acube.

Expensive or not, slow or not... but i like the instant response in amigaOS or morphOS, double click on icons and windows opens very fast (in most of cases) all in a single core under 1ghz machine, thats cool... and with modern multicore machines with more than 2ghz need to wait for open a window sometimes (windows, osx, linux)

Read the notes section in the in powerpc.library.guide for some tips how to get these games running.

AmigaKit still have Freespace in stock, if you buy and register a copy you'll be able to download an OS4 native executable.

@Gebrochen:
Most of the websites I visit aren't rendered correctly under IBrowse, or even worse are unusable, while they work well under OWB.

Regarding Shogo there's a thread here (http://amigaworld.net/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=27465&start=0&post_id=465074&order=0&viewmode=flat&pid=465071&forum=32#465074).

@jorkany

Yes, thats right, its just a port. It always had a ReAction GUI, an OS4 specific font engine, scrollbars, multiple window support, and Amiga menus on the SVN. Andrea and Joerg just downloaded it and typed "make". :roll:

Edit: And i've seen very little anti-apple sentiment in the Amiga world since OS X came out. Quite the opposite in fact.

@ Varthall:

Thank you for that.

@ Rob:

Also, thank you. I actually have gotton shogo to work, I just had to d/l an even newer verion of the ppc libray.

which I find ironic, considering I am using the newest of the Amiga os range, 4.1.

Anyway, now I have the problem of all the Heretic2, Shogo, and freespace games giving me a DSI, however, on shogo, one can simply click ignore and keep playing, problem is, sometime after, it gives me anther one, think it was ISIor something. this one I then have to restart my whole amiga, not even warmboot, but a reset.

I find it strange how, wipeout, earth2140, and the like work flawlessly on my system, and have not yet encountered problems playing these games.

As for software, Imagine 4 also give me a DSI, this is not so good, as I actually need Imagine for my rendereing purposes.

IS there perhaps a d/l somewhere to fix this, or am I missing a library or something?

thank you again.
