For me, getting a Clone-A... That would be nice :-)

I just got a A2000HD system and swapped it up to WB3.1. The hard drive is working in this one and has 8 megs of RAM. I have over 500 Floppy disks to go through and see what works, doesn't etc and install on the drive.

I also am on the lookout for an Accelerator for it, but I can live with the stock CPU for now.
I have yet to upgrade to OS 3.9, but I think I need an Accelerator to get the most out of the upgrade.

That's just the A 2000
I also have an A500 and A1000, that's getting professional pained right now, soon, I will have to re-assemble those and get them up and running.

I also have a trip to make and get a huge collection of Amiga stuff from a guy who collected it since day one
My CDTV is still half torn down for cleaning, but I need to get a drill to remove a few sezied screws.
I also have a new Amiga website I am working on, and getting PDF's made of the manuals is taking time.
Needless to say, My AMIGA list is big.

For me, it's replacing my now-dead Toccata card, and picking up a 68060 accelerator w/RAM for my A2000.

A flickerfixer would be nice, too, but I can live without it.

My 3000T sat in my parents attic for the last 11 years until I was home last x-mas and stumbled on it. I have since. Replaced Battery, Installed 3.1 roms and os3.9, bought CyberstormPPC, Mediator, VoodooIII, Ethernet card, Replaced HD floppy, Completed INT2 Hack. Next up COCOLINO mouse adapter then on to os4 Classic. I am now completely hooked. I think next project will be to buy a 1200 and throw it in a tower.

A sam440ep for under the TV.

Find a SX-32 Pro somehow!

A bigger house to accommodate more Amiga stuff! :-D

I picked up a 2000 with an 030 board and a couple scsi hard drives.  I also got a 20" JVC studio monitor as part of the deal, so it's hooked up to that.  I added a buddha, catweasel, and deneb.  I had to upgrade to 3.1 to get all that to work, so now I'm piecing together 3.1 and installing all the software.  Once that's done, I have a 7 bay scsi tower that I plan to fill with whatever oddball things I can find that look fun to play with.  I also have an hp scanjet 3p scsi scanner to hook up.  I plan to attach a usb keyboard and mouse and whatever else I can find.  Once I have everything working, I plan to make a custom
case for the 2000 and the scsi chassis to hold all the drives.  A flicker fixer and a 68060 board some day.

I also have a 600 that needs work.  I stole the 3.1 roms for the 2000.  I also have a new case from amikit and a 2.5" ide hard drive from ebay.

I also have a 1200 motherboard, 3.1 roms, and an indivision board.  I plan to attach a compact flash drive to that one, then a mediator and some sort of accelerator.  Then a custom case for that.

I want to get them all on ethernet also.

Fun stuff.

Write more OS 4.x software. Whether I buy more hardware depends on having enough funds, and someone producing newer/faster hardware.

Project 1:
I got a vanilla A4000D-CR for £150 last year and I've been slowly collecting parts to put in it. All I need now is the time to fit them: I got a Picasso IV card (http://amiga.resource.cx/exp/picasso4) I managed to pick up for £150 and a 40MHz  Apollo A4040 (http://amiga.resource.cx/exp/apollo4060) I got for £60. I did have a Cyberstorm MKIII lined up but I think it needs a new 060 socket :( I want to replace the old 40Meg hard drive with an CF card using a CF-IDE adapter (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180307220909) the kind that wires to the back panel for easy access allowing quick transfer of files from the PC. To finish it off I'd like to make a set of KS3.9 EPROMs for fast reboots. I've got the 2*27C400 EPROM's and the programmer, I just need to know how to use ROMSplit and Remus tools and what files to update.

Project 2 :
I want to fit the NedoPC A600 Fast-RAM upgrade (http://bboah.com/cgi-bin/showhardware.cgi?HARDID=1786) I bought for my A600 earlier this year for $40. I also want to ditch my heavy/noisy 2.5" IDE drive by cutting a CF sized slot above the PCMCIA slot hot glue down a 44-pin A600 compatible IDE->CF adapter (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290264452027) on top connected to internal IDE for booting and giving easy access to the card to transfer files from the PC. You can use CF cards via PCMCIA adapters without drilling the case but you cannot boot from them and I might want to use a wireless PCMCIA ethernet at the same time.

Project 3:
I want to fit a Right angle 44-pin IDE->CF card adapter (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110313036180) to the SX 32 MK1 (http://amiga.resource.cx/exp/sx32) I got this year for £55. This type of CF->IDE adapter means you don't need an IDE cable, perfect for SX 32. Get WHDload installed and lots of games plus a great CD32 menu for selecting them.

Project 4:
Diagnose the fault with my Cyberstorm MKIII. I bought it non functional for £80 with Rev6 capable 060 CPU in 2002 with the intention of repairing it. I've never actually tried it so I'm not sure what is wrong (if anything) but I figure it needs a new surface mount 060 CPU socket (as this is the thing that goes wrong most commonly). JJB of Amiga Center France wanted to change way too much for the repair (€150) but someone recently mentioned another repair shop which can do these replacements cheaper... gotta remember where I read about them...

Project 5:
Convert the Apollo 4040 into an Apollo 4060. From what I've read I need to get a voltage regulator module from PG or someone, possibly replace the CPU socket (easy as it's through hole) and upgrade the ROMS. Now where am I going to get the 4060 ROM from? There was also some talk that the 4060 needed replacement CPLD chips but I'd like to try it first. The upgrade is available from Jens Schoenfeld but it's not economically viable.

Organise my harddrive

...And buy myself a SAM + OS4.1 :-)

Besides that, I should fix a couple of complete systems and sell them.. I have too much unused amiga gear

dear Amigans:

I love my amiga 1200, 030 accel/50mhz, 18 mb ram, 2 gig hd.
My dream is to get a faster accelerator and possible a tower, and also an original copy of lightwave 3d for amiga. Hopefully I will get this sometime in the future, for now I am just gonna sit back and drool.
Cheers!!!

A2500:
- properly re-solder the power connector on my DKB2632 ram board so I can use the full 116MB RAM in my A2500 :-)
- buy an Acard SCSI-IDE bridge and install that spare 80GB IDE drive

A4000 tower:
- custom paintjob
- relocated Zorro slot for Prometheus busboard (so I can use all other Zorro slots on the Micronik busboard)
- tons and tons of other mods

And: finally learn how to program in C and asm :-D

Ouch, my todo-list never gets finished!

1. Finish my Amiga 1200T (http://amiga.erkan.se/index.php/amiga-1200-tower/)

I need to solder new power wires for the MicroniK 6860 Zorro 2 busboard, then I need to screw everything together and configure the whole package consisting of BlizzardPPC, Ariadne, BlizzardVision etc...

2. Finding a new cooling solution to my CyberVisionPPC (http://amiga.erkan.se/index.php/improving-cooling-on-the-cybervisionppc/)

That blue heatsink was not secured properly, I need to find something that is good looking, good performance and is not permanently attached to the graphics board.

Plus lots of other things to do!

not to much planned,

- Getting a faster boot by creating the 3.9 roms would be nice.
- After 2 ? 3 ? years get my Mac emulator for system 7.5 working with the 2060 card.
- deneb ? perhaps

PS:... ah.... not many people stating this : HAVE FUN :-D

1- FIND TIME to play with my Miggys and Commies :-D  :pint:

1. Get the data off of my A1200T - Lots of precious stuff languishing on the HD that I want to get archived safely away.  Just got to work out the best way to do it.

2. Build a proper emulation box.  I want to build a box that will boot straight into UAE without much fuss.  I never managed to get X-Amiga quite working as well as I hoped.

3. Get a modestly kitted up A1200D for that authentic retro feel (got the parts, just not got the space or time)

4?. Perhaps merge 2. and 3. and see if I can fit a tiny PC in an A1200 case with a Keyrah.
Title: Re: What's on your Amiga 'To do' list?
Post by: Retro_71 on November 17, 2008, 10:51:09 PM
1. NATAMI
2. CloneA
3. Finish putting my A4000 Toaster together with FASTATA and Deneb and wait for Jen to make a FF/SS for the A4000.
4. Finish putting the Indivision AGA and IDE Fix into my A1200 and hopefully getting a better Accelator then the Cobra 030/40.
5. Towerising another of my A1200's
6. Putting the A3000 back together (just finished transferring 8 little HDD to 1 Big one).
and Finally Number 8...... Having the Time to do all of this and play around with my Miggy's.

O i forgot number 9.... Sort through the 5700 Floppies i have.........................  :-D  :-o  :boohoo:

I need to work-out (find the time basically) how to use BlzzKick so I can patch my ROM and then load it into fastram (OS3.9 user).

Also need to come up some nice wallpaper for my AGA desktop (1024x768 32 colors).  Everything I've tried so far just kills my chipram :(

Summer projects include:

- Getting my A1200 stable so I can actually use it.

- Installing an A3000 SIMM Adapter from DJBase in my A3000.

- Installing some form of active/passive cooling in my A3000 as she gets a little warm in summer and flat our refuses to do anything.

I think that's pretty much it.

My Amiga to do list:

A500 kick 1.3
Purchase some HDD interface and memory expansion. And try to get my hands on a denise scandoubler.

A500 +
Fix the FPU crystal on the derrigner board.
Purchase a new HDD controller for the trumpcard and try to find an appropriate network controller that fits the derringer case.

A2000
Clean MB (battery is removed and corrosion is cleaned. but it is still filthy), fix or try to fix the fusion forty. get my hands on some GFX card. have not though so much about the A2000 yet...

A1200
Rebuild the current (PC) chieftec case into housing the A1200. Find out whats making the BVision not working.
Purchase zorro expansion. and purchase PCI expansion. try to see if they both can exist in the same case and working together... hopefully i can find a g-rex pci and it works with my BPPC. Purchase an internal scan doubler.
+++

CDTV
keyboard, diskdrive and cdtv mouse.
ram expansion and a SCSI controller.

CD32
SX32pro module

EDIT:
After looking at the list, it sounds time consuming and expensive... :-D

 Hmm... Let's see...

Finish the RGB to video component inside an A520 design...

Finish the A600 020 accelerator design...

Re-make my A1200 tower properly this time. Mediator and lots of things waiting (not enough room on a desktop Amiga).

 Fix the A2000 SCSI controller.

Buy a pair of nice scandoublers... :-)

Complete my collection with 1 A3000 ( a 3000T will be more than nice) and an A4000...

Oh, and time to play with those beautiful machines. ;-)

Buster 11 and 8 megs of ZIP ram more for the A3000D, and to finally locate a 23/15 pin cable for the Firecracker24!

Any Z3/Z2/Fastslot card that will allow me to have SCSI and some extra RAM on the A4000D without destroying my meager $$ resources.

A bunch of animation projects that are on the drawing board, and the will and time to get them done!

Lots to do:

1) when money permits.... get my sick 4000D fixed.

2) Currently.... upgrade CD-ROM + CDR drives + bigger Flyer drives in my 4000T + put in CD Audio cables, install 0S3.9 at some point.. semi-Amiga-related, put in audio mixer, another video switcher..

3) Get an accel. for my dad's 1200, if by some strange twist of Fate, I can find one cheap, and/or a bigger SIMM for the GVP accel. in his other 1200...

4) Get a SCSI Zip drive for my 1200T, my only SCSI-equipped miggy without a Zip drive, wouldn't want it to feel left out

Replace the motherboard of my A1200 is highest on my list, althought that won't happen until somewhere in 2009. The current one works ok, but the Indivision flickerfixer doesn't fit (keeps falling off, literally). I also plan to replace the internal 2.5" harddisk with a 4 GB flashdrive.

My A2000 needs a VGA-switch, so I can easily switch between the output of the A2320 flickerfixer and the CV64/3D. After that, I can reinstall it.

My A3000 needs a new harddrive (I have one laying around, just need to put it in), after which I can put back the OS (3.1 or 3.9, haven't made up my mind yet).

On the programming side, I have to fix the port of mencoder (some crashes to fix, add an Altivec version), then I'll finish the port of DjVuLibre, after that I'll pick the next project in my long to-do list :)

No hardware changes ATM, although I'll consider buying an USB2 PCI card when OS4.1 will support them.

A500
1. swap halfmeg agnus for 1meg agnus.
2. do 1meg chipram cut and jumper upgrade.
3. install ECS denise, (may need 2Meg agnus upgrade).
4. permanent rom socket mod to take 3.1 rom.
5. get clock port cable extension, mount subway USB ports on the righthand side of case
otherwise, pretty much done, but if it happens, and i'm needed, help metalguy66 develop that ethernet card for A500 GVP sidecars. my ideas for developing a zorro2 riser for the GVP expansion slot are shelved for the time being due to lack of soldering skills, and money to buy tools.

A1200 #1
1. swap the 040 for an 060 on the PPC board. just need to by the tools for the job, and take the time to grind my soldering skill to the right level before i have a go.
2. get some low profile 128Mb simms, as a full fat HP simm won't fit flat under the keyboard in the desktop machine on the BlizPPC. well it does, but i'm not happy about the way it fits.
3. sort out the mounting for the slotloadDVD in the wedge case, and cut the disc slot and eject button in the back of the case.
4. replace the nanoATX PSU as it seems i've knackered my current one and it doesn't provide a reliable -12volt pull down, and re-route all the power lines to be inside the case
5. re-size the hole i put in the back right side corner from a USB port from the subway to take a VGA port from the bVision
6. finally put the lid on properly.
7. may replace wired ethernet with wifi card

A1200 #2
1. swap the bliz030 for the bliz040scsi royalmail have gone and lost for me :madashell:
2. buy another 060 chip
3. swap the 040 for an 060. another low-profile 128Mb simm to go in the socket on board, as the scsi module can take the fat HP simms just fine.
4. speed test the elbox fastata card with the new cpu, but will probably remove it.
5. may replace wired ethernet with wifi card

A1200 #3
1. take the now homeless blizz030scsi and install that in this machine fit low-profile 128Mb simm to board, and 128Mb simm to scsi module.
2. keep an eye out for bliz040/060 card to upgrade to
3. may replace wired ethernet with wifi card

A600
1. 1Meg chip ram upgrade
2. accelerator/memory?
3. clock port?
4. subway?
5. may replace wired ethernet with wifi card
6. replace faulty floppy drive

CD32
1. SX32/pro at a reasonable price?

A4000
1. fix mainboard battery damage
2. replace mainboard simm sockets
3. get denebUSB2 card
4. get cyberstorm2/3-040/060 card
5. get GFX card of some type. preferably CV64/3D
5. mediator A4000Di? maybe?
6. may fix up to be livingroom gaming machine in the AV rack.

......
so a lot to do, and not a lot of cash as my car has had:-
new sills, new floorpans, new front axel/suspension, new rear suspension, new rear tyres
and i'm currently weighing up engine options.

plus i have to wire up the house with cat6, figure out my IPTV media server stratagy, convert the loft, put in another set of stairs, kill the lichking, and slowly get proficient at programming C and 68k assembler

1) Getting a mac mini for the (hopeful) MorphOS release.

2) Keep an eye and evaluate these further "roads" :

           - new hardware for OS4.x
           - (hardly) possible OS4.x mac mini support
           - Anubis
           - AROS
           - Natami

3) Usual, standard, traditional, amiga waiting...

Awesome thread.

Stop purchasing misc hardware. Have darn near everything I need/want. This hobby has been addictively expensive over the last 20 years...  My final score was optaining a PicassoIV for the A3000D.

On with the list:

A1000 - Install Rom adaptor and 1.3 rom. Make sure the ram expansion works. Set up as a floppy based game machine next to the PS1 & PS2 in the living room.

A3000T - Fix the green screen problem, or part out. Looks more like part out as the VT/Flyer has taken its place.

A3000D - Get the WarpEngine scsi fuctioning. Install the AD516 sound card. Aquire an external scsi box for audio drives.

A4000 VT/Flyer - Install more software. Remove TBCIV. Use the beast.

A2000 - Finish setting up as a signal generator. Install TBCIV, Vectorscope, blackburst generator. Larger HD.

A1200 - 3.1 Roms. Maybe an IndivisionFF.

A500 - Reassemble and make functional. Was used to scavange parts many years ago.

Misc leftover equipment - gather up, dust off and post for auction. Need to thin out a load of stuff.

I recently aquired an Epson9600 44" inkjet printer for my HP Athlon. Focusing on reproducing my photos and pimping out the divice for profit.

1) Perhaps get a CyberSCSI mk2 module, since the motherboard IDE connector is perhaps the #1 bottleneck on my system.

2) Tinker some more with porting Uplink (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uplink_(video_game)) to Amiga. One of my favourite games. It's realistic because it uses many 3rd party libraries that are already ported to AmigaOS. But it's slow going, and perhaps I'll never finish it. And even if I did it wouldn't really be useful, since the license on the source code prohibits porting it to other platforms. Oh well. Still fun to tinker with.

Solder in a socket so I can install a 68882 FPU & its oscillator in my A1200 accelerator card. Looking forward to performing this upgrade - thanks goes to Damion for securing the parts!

Went through a phase of purging in 2001-2005.
Sold. CD32, FMV, A4000d, Micronic tower, Escom Tower, A1200 Amiga tech, tons of spare parts. Scan doublers, 2X Flyer setups with all the fixins. Cables... obscure cables Octopus cable anyone? Opalvisions (i had 3) XSpecs 3d, etc.

Now I'm refurbishing the perfect little A1200 with all the ameneites modern day chump change can get you. CF cards, PCMCIA to CF card adapters, and UAE.

It's ironic but installing UAEX on Xbox and UAE on PC got me started again becuase I was able to examine some of the games in modern day context. They hold up pretty well.

I want to make my A1200 black and have the keyboard painted. Got a $10 spare Amiga Tech A1200 case to paint up.

Have a Minimig too as at one point I was chatting with a factory in china to make about 100 pieces for Amiga.org. but Acube came along...

Just can't justify the time right now to tinker. I play old games now and then.

Hmmm, loads. Here are the items I can remember:

1) Buy Microsoft and force them to make Amigas ;-)

2) Take my A600's apart and try to diagnose the faults.

3) Code up some software to work with Dymo Thermal Labelwrite printers (actually intended to do in 2006, but haven't had the time...)

4) Finish compiling an AMOS list of extension commands.

5) Finish compiling a list of all AMOS-made games and software.

6) Finish Another World game.

7) Collect as many (classic) Amiga demo's as possible, especially ones made by Kefrens and Spaceballs

Thanks guys. I thoroughly enjoyed reading about what you are up to :-)

My own 'To do' list is very long and ever growing. But some of the things at the top of my list are:-

1. Get OS4 Classic installed onto a reliable Ultra Wide SCSI drive.

2. Fit and try out the Toccatta sound card which I bought from Kin-Hell.

3. Fit and try out the Picasso IV.

4. Have a go at getting a BIG hard drive set up using OS3.9.

5. Do a major sort through and tidy up of my stuff and check all my Amigas are working perfectly.

Hi Guys,

Just wondering what is still on your list of things to get or do with your Amiga(s)?
:-)

Nothing much really... At least not Hardware-wise.
I'm about to back-up some of my HD partitions, burn some DVDs, install or update some Aminet (mostly) software.
Things like that.. :-)

Make the 2000 a little more robust - and maybe even work on it's looks a little. Of course it all comes down to having the money and the right deal at the same time... and the time to finish stuff.

For the 2000:

New motherboard - the one that came with it I was able to hack up to ECS and change roms - but its seen better days.

Fix the floppy drive - old one was busted, this one reads and writes fine, but doesn't seem to want to BOOT off a floppy... find out whats up with that.

Mouse adapter...keyboard adapter.

Network card would be nice.

Flicker Fixer... try and get away from the 1084 before it fails...

I'll undecided about the 4000 route - I have a dedicated machine running x amiga that does all those bells and whistles rather nicely - maybe money that would go there would be better spent on a SAM and OS4... see what the next generation systems are like...

Software...

Finish writing my crappy shoot em up in asm...
Get a c compiler running and make a sprite/map editor for the above.
Finish catching up reading the RKM's I bought last year...

Write a couple of utilities for the emulation box in both the linux side and the uae side.

Things to do:

A500:
Take final "impossible" screenshot (need digital camera):
"A500 emulating Windows and Mac... at the same time!"
Get SDHC to IDE adapter - use 4Gb SDHC instead of harddrive or CF
Test FAT filesystem to use SDHC->USB adapter ->various computers with USB
Get Viper 530 with 128Mb RAM (520 can then go in A1000)
Connect C64 drive and attempt to write disk images for C64
Get 1020 5¼" drive and attempt to write disk images for Kaypro

A1000:
Use Viper 520 & 40Gb harddrive from A500 (or maybe SDHC)
Find some way to get 2Mb chip (is it possible on A1000?)
Act smug about browsing the internet with a 1985 Amiga 8-)

A3000:
Test SGI filesystem to access Indy drive from Amiga (& fix password)
Get accelerator with 128Mb, Deneb, USB network, video card
Network with my NeXTstation, SGI Indy, Mac OSX, BeOS

A4000:
Get accelerator with 128Mb
Maybe get another SDHC to IDE adapter (currently using CF)

Other:
Get A1200 with accelerator, wireless ethernet

Out of interest why the big thing with SD?

1. It's way cheaper than CF (here in Canada anyway)

2. It's super small - easier to make externally accessable. (it also looks like old 3½" disk and even has write protect tab)

3. It usually comes with a USB adapter. If I keep one in FAT format and have FAT filesystem on Amiga, I can plug it in Amiga, copy stuff, then plug it in any computer with USB - without needing USB on Amiga.

OK,
Hi I'm new to amiga.org. just 1 small question, how can I get my A500 on the net via broadband? I have an A500 os 2.1 a grand slam with a scsi tower. I also have a few windows servers and 1 running linux server 6. and a couple of machines running windows XP Pro. Any Ideas?
Thanks

Hi there. :-) It's good to see somebody else insane enough to get an A500 on the internet.

I'm still only using dialup on my A500, but I have heard of others using Windows as internet server for Amiga 500s. Check out this thread (http://www.amiga.org/forums/showthread.php?t=15793).

I was going to get a clockport adapter for my A500, USB and USB network and try to go broadband that way, but then I started to question my sanity...

I really need to do the following:

1. Mess around with my beloved A500 to see why the caps key light comes on and flashes locking the keyboard at the same time.

2. Send my A4000 motherboard to New Zealand to get the capacitors replaced and the board checked over. Will do this in the new year once the XMAS postal rush is over.

3. Actually find time to play and use the Amiga again.

4. Finish The Settlers. It's been an on-off affair for the last 15 years back when I was in high school. Ok, so it's been mainly off in that period of time.
Title: Re: What's on your Amiga 'To do' list?

1. I've still got to use some really big HDD's

2. Have a go at using Compact Flash cards as HDD's

3. Buy OS4.1 Classic and see how different/ improved it is OS4.0 Classic.

4. Go through my Amiga stuff and get it tidied up sorted.

:)

Crazy thread necro, but its a good topic :)

I need to:

1: Get a laser printer acquired and set up
2: Get another couple of CF cards, one as a backup, and one to set up with partitions for Partitions
3: Finish Hired Guns before I die.
4: Open the case back up and get the keyboard secured a bit more. It slides about half a centimeter, which means I have to push it up to push the keys on the far left

For my Amiga 1200...
Not sure..  I just got an ACA1230/28 and I have my 4G CF card working and my Amiga is on the Internet and browsing....  So, I think just fine tuning the OS a bit for me for a while.  There's a possibility of a CDROM and Subway, but I'm still not sure about those..
I suppose the next thing I should do is grind the trapdoor cover down so I can put it back on.. ;-)  And get an eject button solution for the internal floppy..

For my A1000:
It needs TLC...
I need to (or get someone to) solder on new RCA audio jacks.
I need to totally strip down the keyboard, all the way as a few keys still aren't behaving and the basic cleaning didn't solve that..
Retrobrite the system...
Floppy work: it's still a bit dodgy sometimes and I don't have an eject button (I know, it's a theme apparently.. :-)
Decide if I want a HD solution.  I'm not sure...  Probably, but nothing too crazy.  I already have an Insider II, so I'm not sure if an internal (CPU mount) is still possible..

General:
Evaluate Workbench above 3.1.  That's the highest I'm really familiar with, so I need to look at 3.5 and 3.9, especially now that I have the accelerator and RAM.
Try to get my WB to look 1/100th as nice as Cammy's or some of the other incredible WB setups I've seen.  Mine is still pretty standard.  :-)

Mine is actually a New Year's resolution too. I'm going to reclaim my study and set up all my Amigas, my C64 and ZX Spectrum.

I'll also be selling off 2 A500s I've restored.

I have a longer term goal of getting back the first computer I ever owned, A ZX81 but they are hard to score these days.

Patience grasshopper......

Nice music Tone007.  The connection ?

Had the same problem with one I was restoring.  Issue was in the keyboard pcbs.  I couldn't narrow it down so I replaced the keyboard with a badly faded one. Took a while to swap all the keys.

@ Franko

Thanks for the tip mate. If I am ever diagnosed as being terminally ill, I'll apply for a job at morgue. But then again, prehaps applying to be a grave digger would be a better way to go, as they could just push me into a hole I had dug :)

@ gertsy

The connection of tone007's YouTube video will no doubt be to the word necrophilia. Which, according to Wikipedia, is a sexual attraction to corpses. Yuck!!

- Get the Micronick tower with Cyberstorm PPC upgraded to 4.1 Classic and cool the Vision PPC better
- Get the black A4000 finished
- Get the black A500 finished
- Build an Amiga 1200 tower
- Build an Amiga 500 tower including the A530
- Rebuild all A500's that are disassembled due to cleaning
- Try to repair 2 A2000's myself (attempted on the first one, but I think it failed)
- Take photo's of all machine and register what their configurations are
- Maybe do a few more paintjobs

Currently building up a 1200 and adding a DENEB to the A4000 though! :)
