Title: WinUAE: CPU usage
Post by: mikeymike on August 31, 2003, 01:18:38 PM
I'm not sure when it happened, but now when I'm using WinUAE for playing games, (PC) CPU usage is generally at 0% (my PC spec (http://www.legolas.com/mikes/mypc.txt))... this certainly hasn't always been the case.  In Workbench though, emulating an 68040, CPU usage is as jumpy as usual. I know that the CPU usage isn't blatantly wrong as CPU temperature is what it is normally when idle.

I'm using WinUAE 0.8.22 r5, just going to download the latest ver out of interest.

Are you using 'fastest possible' or some other setting - when my winuae is running I get no frre time on an 1800+ athlon. Mind you, I also get a 714MHz '040 into the bargian (according to sysinfo)
