I'm after some internal photos (or details of the chips) of the Cypress CM-397 scandoubler (http://www.cypress.com.tw/product.php?PId=87936&CId=010&CName=PC%20Multimedia/Scan%20Converters&SR=0)
I appreciate that if you try to take it apart you may never get it back together so it's going to take a brave person to try.
It would be very much appreciated.

So you wouldn't be willing to pay for a replacement if it gets Fux0rD in the process then?
-
Absolutely
-
I did open it today, and tried to take some photos with cellphone
but the quality wasn't any good.
-
Just read the numbers/txt off the chips inside.
-
Aaah, Alex is hunting for a 24-bit SD ASIC, maybe there's something other than usual Averlogic circuitry...am I close enough?
:-D

Is this all amiga modes compatible ?
-
I haven't tested it.
-
Here we go, couldn't do it better, but at least some photos taken.

So yeah alexh. Spill dem beanz!
We're all dying to know! :-D

This device has been long reputed to use the Averlogic AL250 (16-bit scandoubler IC) but I noticed yesterday that the capabilities of this scandoubler (scan rate conversion [50Hz->60Hz]and upscaling [720x512 -> 1024x768]) did not tie up with the AL250.
As we can see from these very kindly provided photos and details this actually uses a Sunplus DigiShow SPV311a
MST9883C-LF-110 = Triple 8-bit ADC
W9816G6 = SDRAM
Now time to run off and track down the datasheet for this part.
