will there be any release of the above roms for classic amigas?
-
There are no roms for classic systems required. You can get 4.0 for classics with PPC accelerators in software form (CD-ROM) but no 4.1.

i was thinking booting directly into OS4 without soft reset.
-
I think they're too big to fit in standard Amiga (EP)ROMs

i do belive the extra pins on A1200 rom socket ( not used )is for 1MB roms ( correct me if im wrong ) i will look at the doc again.
this will be a sure way to find out if this is true.

1MB ROM's do not work on A4000

I recall that Hyperion and Individual Computers (was it?) announced many years ago some kind of a "kick flash OS4" thing or whatever, that would be required to boot OS4 (some kind of dongle feature in a way) and also boot directly into the new OS. Obviously it didn't happen that way though...

It was replaced in a way by the open firmware Uboot, which it wont boot without
Though not on classics

i do belive some here on amiga.org did he's own 3.9 roms, so what is the problem with 4.0 file put on 1Mb roms from the CD?
-
I dont believe anyone ever really tried to use Piru exec and 1Mbyte OS3.9 ROMS. Motorollin made 512Kbyte OS3.9 ROM's
-
IIRC from the specification sheet that came with my A1200, there was up to 4 MiB addressing devoted to ROM meaning there would be two banks of 2 MiB for ROM usage. I don't know of it ever being used as such however.

I think Doobrey have the answer.;-)

is there anyway i can get OS4 on 1MB kickstart roms the legal way?
if someone else done this for me will it lead to legal/copyright problems?
also is is possibe to access Blizzard PPC menu after OS4 kickstart has loaded?
