Hi,
One final question - I promise! :-)
Can anyone recommend a good source for an IDE to CF card adaptor?
There are loads of them on eBay, but are any particular ones better than others?
I'm thinking of having mine mounted at the rear of my A1200 (where the blank connector panel is , next to the mouse/joystick ports) so I can swap the CF card easily - is this possible?
Cheers,
Mike.

IDE to CF adaptors for the A1200 are usually fitted next to the IDE interface ie on the opposite side to what you want- by way of a small less than 5 cm 44 pin laptop ide cable. They are intended to be internal and not frequently removed. what you are looking for is a CF-PCMCIA adaptor that you plug into the pcmcia port on the A1200 and then plug in your CF card in and out of the PCMCIA adaptor. To make this work you will need this software: cfd.lha and fat95.lha from aminet
