Hi Speel,

Just started listening to it now. Liking it so far.

I'm generally a fan of electronic chill and ambient tunes. Love Biosphere, Peter Kuhlmann, Dr. Atmo, Syzygy etc.

Cheers,

Oli

Good to hear :-)
Though I love ambient sounds, I never have heard of them. Have you heard of Deadbeat, or Arovane?
Btw. you can find more here (http://www.belugarecordings.com/)

Cheers dude, thanks for the link. I'll have a listen tonight.

Biosphere (Geir Jenssen) has some mp3s available at his site (http://www.biosphere.no/). He has done a lot of material which I have not heard, though I have really liked nearly all that I have heard. I have some of his early tunes on vinyl, from when I did a bit of DJing. Absolutely fantastic. I love chill tunes on vinyl, for that super comfortable, warm sound. This stuff was geat after a big rave (you know, a proper rave, like they used to make in the good old days  ;-) ).

You can find these artists on quite a few ambient radio stations. I listen to spacestation soma, and drone zone at soma fm (http://somafm.com/), and sometimes listen to the ambient channel at di fm (http://www.di.fm/). The free service at di fm is low bit rate, so I don't listen there for very long (listening fatigue). di fm has quite a lot of Biosphere and Peter Kuhlmann (aka Pete Namlook). At the moment I can't afford an ongoing subscription though. Making the occaisonal donation to soma is an easier model for me.

Well, off to try some new tunes...

edit- mp3s hosted on Biosphere's site are short promos only.

edit2 - actually, at least some of the mp3s are quite long. hey may all be the full tracks, just there are some short ones in the list

Thanks for the links!
I used to listen to Groove Salad a lot a couple of years ago, I think I lost the link and forgot about it, tis sure good being reminded about it. :-)
The music of Biosphere made me think of Thomas Köner, very atmospheric.
Especially 'Laika' left me with an odd feeling.

-edit-
Hell I remember good old raves! :-D

Cool, glad the links are appreciated. I listen to groove salad too, and sometimes the secret agent channel, just for a laugh - it reminds me of the interesting TV shows I used to see when I was a really young kid.

I hadn't heard the tunes on his site before. I just looked him up for the post. Some of those tracks aren't very musical.

I will look up Thomas Köner. I may not have heard his stuff before.
