Title: checksum error

what does it all mean
on bootup
checksum error on disk block 519545
also when
Isve as on wworth iget
Work is not valdated
has any body a solutiom :-?

The floppy disk is screwed. You'll have to download a new version on ADF and write a new disk?

A little more about hw and sw would help...
An Amiga with HD and FFS can be fixed on under 4 GB border with DiskSalv (or equivalent), over 4 GB area just with Diskmontools. I think KS 2.x is required except with very old versions of DiskSalv.

I use the program ValidateWait (link (http://aminet.net/package/util/cli/ValidateWait)) in my startup-sequence.

If the partition needs to validate itself because of some problem then this program forces the startup to wait until the validation process is complete.

The easiest way to fix a checksum error, provided it's not a hard error causing it - is to find the offending file and copy over a fresh version of it.

in desperation Ibought another A1200 the seller had some utilities software and i ran it on th troubled machine hard error on hard drive and both my copies of wworth 4 and 5 are unusable a compunded prob  :-( replaced hard drive and it A1200 working fine now and I have two
