Title: A500 Ram
Post by: stanlong on October 16, 2008, 10:00:04 PM
 is it  possible to remove the ram from a dead 500 mother board and put it into a workin one an thus increase the Ram?
any body tried this? :-)

Depending the revision of the board it will be a lot easier. Also depends on the Agnus version.

But yes, it is possible and was did a lot of times already.

The easiest one is the Revision 6 (and over) with a fatter Agnus (1Mb chip RAM addressable).

Normally, NO. But it might be possible to hack it somehow, but I have never heard of anyone doing that. But if you have a Rev 6 MB that has room for additional 512k then YES.  You are better off getting a A501 RAM clone for 1MB.
