To iamaboringperson,

Because they are NOT the same subject and I want to know.

inside my Amiga 2000:
Blizzard 2040
PicassoIV with Paloma/Pablo (I have never really used the Pablo unfortunately)
Concierto
Catweasel (I just use it for the Buddha interface)
Highway with Norway
Siamese video switcher
DKB MegaChip

oops - I guess my signature says it all... The X-Surf seems to have broken partially - it only worked if I held the card in place at an angle.

Four SCSI Hard Drives external. The Zip Drive no longer attached, so ID-5 is currently unallocated. The contents of HDD 2, 3, & 4 are being copied to HDD 6 which is a 4.3Gb unit.

To vortexau:

The Commodore A2320 (Amber) video card is a very nice card.  I use one in my own Amiga 2000HD.  I have a ViewSonic 17" Flat-Panel display plugged into my A2320 board and it looks really impressive.  I can even play all of my video games on it and it looks better then my Commodore Amiga monitor.  I recommend the A2320 Amber card to everybody that has and uses an Amiga 2000 professional computer.  It is such a great card.  I picked mine up from eBay for only $35.00.   :-D

I have an A1500 (which is the same thing as an A2000). Inside I have:

* GVP G-Force 030 40Mhz + 4Mb
* Cybervision 64/3D (which I will be selling soon, since its too slow in Zorro II)
* GVP IOExtender (selling soon, no use for it)
* Hydra AmigaNET 1.1 (not selling, I need that :-) )

@Brian:
could you talk us more about your 2000 with AGA? Where did you find that card? Did you build it? There's any possibility of getting one?

Yeah, my A2320 was a second-hand acquision as well - but was added a couple of years after the PicassoII RTG Card. It passes-through native screens using a connection to the Picasso.

I play few games so it takes mostly the Startup Screen that I use in booting 3.1 which I use for ProWrite 3.3! ProWrite can be retargeted by the original PicassoII Driver; but not by 3.5's Picasso96!

Its an interesting fact that the original PicassoII Driver can handle Screen Dragging, but Picasso96 can not! When I'm doing postal mail with ProWrite, I commonly drag down the WB to COPYnPASTE the addresses to an envolope-printing utility.

TVPaint and a RTG Card really make an accellerated A2000 shine . . . . . . .

sorry to say my big plans to crank up my old A2000 never materialized. no hard card, no gfx card, not ethernet, no hot sh1t CPU.... traded my A500 / A1200 / A2000 for a non functional A4000/030...
so all i had was dust.... and a CD drive i pulled out of my A1200's non functional archos drive. and a lot of sad looking empty slots. two floppy drives tho.

was working on an adapter to take a stripped down A570 board in the CPU slot, and the CD drive in the front... but got bored with that as the A570 card wouldn't allow the case to fit properly.

His A2k does not really have AGA. The AGA2000 is a scandoubler/flickerfixer made long before the AGA-chipset was even designed...
More info here (http://www.amiga-hardware.com/microway.html).

@vorteaux

Use CGX instead of P96 and you'll get your screen-dragging back.

Works fine with my CV64, and should do too with the Picasso as the HW
obviosly supports it.

With CGX and a Picasso4 it is possible to have draggable screens ;-)

my A2000's existance is currently degraded to be a game machine :)

A2000 Rev. 4.x, 1Mbyte Chip-RAM
A2630/25 4 MByte Fast-RAM
540 Mbyte IDE-HD
AT-BUS 2008

B2000 4.3
KS3.1 WB3.9
1MB CHIP
B2060/50 with 64MB
FlickerFixer
CV64/3D
1GB disk
CD-ROM, 32X I think (both connected to the B2060's SCSI controller)
HD and DD internal drives
GG2+ that enables the NE2000 ethernet card

That's about it. I'll probably sell it soon, as it isn't even hooked up anymore. I do my Amiga things on the A4000 and the Pegasos...

Well, I have 2 amiga 2000's (one is purely for parts), but the main 2000 has OS2.1, 1gb scsi hardrive, 3x cd-rom, Retina ZII (4meg version), GVP 040/33 w/16mb ram, 2065 network card (no way to test if it works, though), IDE controller (forget which model, 2008 something or other) with 40mb harddruve abd 8mb ram on it.

I no longer use this machine in favor of my a1200 (which I am looking to ugrade from it's base 030/28 and 6mb ram).

Anyone know what a 2000 like above would sell for, as I'd like to use whatever I can get for it towards my 1200.

Well, I have 3 A2000s, but 2 of them are just bare bones spares..
The main beast has a GVP 030/40mHz combo with 4MB & a 500MB HD. A CBM 2058 RAM card with 8MB. A 2091 SCSI card with another 500MB HD and a CD Rom drive. A Video Toaster.. oh yeah, 2 floppy drives.. remember those. :-)
