Hey,
I've used a PS2 keyboard/mouse on my AmigaOne (recently acquired), how do I use USB devices? I have a nice Apple keyboard and mouse I wish to use, but just plugging them in doesn't seem to recognise them.
I assume it can be used with a USB keyboard/mouse?
any n00b friendly instructions appreciated.

it is something to do with UBoot, just read the doc to find out which parameters to give o get it recognized ! :rtfm:

hmmn no docs included in mine, and can't see any option in the uboot prefs. :-?

Try using kb and mouse with usb to ps2 adaptors works for me,usb can be tricky sometimes it picks them up most times it does'nt hope this helps.

Ah is there no option to use a USB keyboard to change then? If it doesn't automatically use it, it won't see it in other words?
I am trying to use an Apple wired keyboard and mouse, but with no luck. I have USB to PS2 convertors, but according to the guy in Maplin they only work with Mice and not keyboards, you need a special kind for a keyboard which are "quite hard to come by"?

Hi! I,m using a Logitech keyboard and mouse with adaptors and they work perfectly give the adaptors a go you may be pleasantly surprised. :-D

USB keyboards and mice work nice here, but only when WB has booted. I believe that some, or every USB devices aren't recognised by UBoot, hence they can't be used to change boot parameters (they can be changed under WB using Prefs/UBoot preferences tool, though). A friend of mine has successfully used a Mac keyboard on his A1, too. What version of AmigaOS are you using?

I'm on OS 4.0
Turns out you have to go into the UBoot prefs in the Preferences folder and change the input from PS2 to USB.
Now another problem, the USB keyboard works fine on the UBoot options, but once Workbench loads it won't work anymore?
Any ideas?
