Now that we have clockports available for most Amiga models, why hasn't anyone come up with a small clip-on battery for a clockport? I'm tired of resetting my clock, and i've got no soldering skills to put a new battery in.
-
Huh? You mean just the battery on the clockport? What's that supposed to achieve? The battery needs to supply the onboard clock chip. Or do you mean a new clock chip + battery? That's not gonna work as long as the ROM doesn't know about it, you'd need a piece of software for user-startup or similar.

You mean something like this?

Yep I had one of those for years, DKB. I wish I had it now. I just threw it one day in a big clean.
This would be "easy" to re-produce. Looks like you could make a DIY kit in a bag of parts and sell that.

or if anyone is very good at soldering, just add it to the motherboard if you can find the parts. if i remember the space is for a clock ( correct me if im wrong ).

I meant something like DKB's Clock. It should be easy to produce.

I've built one from scratch (If it's what you mean)... :-D
