Howdy all...
Has anyone here ever gone all the way with UAE and added it to a network? I'm thinking about experimenting with it in this capacity.
My domain controller is a Win2k Advanced Server box (only a P200 w/128mb RAM and it runs SOOOOOOO much better than NT4 did!); it handles printing, network shares, logons/offs (duh), DNS.
DHCP is handled by the LinkSys router.
So what all do I need to do to prep my network for this "virtual" box, and what do I need to do once I've installed the OS on the UAE partition?

Hmm... Doesn't really take much work. I have done it before. In fact, I think all you have to do is have the host machine (the one running UAE) on the network, and pick the UAE options to enable BSD sockets. Then, your Amiga (uae) apps should be able to see the emulated BSDsocket.library, just as they'd see AmiTCP, or whatever other stack you'd use....... done.

Y try without bsdsocket?
as long as the PC can connect to the net with bsdsocket emulation enabled WinUAE will get the connection aswell.
