Title: Radeon PCI card suitable for Mediator
Post by: AmigaFun on September 20, 2008, 04:13:04 PM
Hello all

Just wondering if anyone knows of a PCI Radeon card that is compatible with the Mediator. I previously bought from eBay a 9250, but the machine does not boot with that installed (or else it does not get recognized, cant quite remember).
Any ideas or pointers on where to get one?

Thanks

You might find it's the driver, not the card.
I had to revert to an earlier version before mine would work.

I thought that the CD that came with the Mediator was the first to have support for the Radeon GPU's, and therefore there would be no older versions? Am I mistaken on that??.
Anyway, not sure yet, but I may get a Mediator for the A4000D, and then try the Radeon on that, but I know how horrible the software is for the Mediator, so preparing for something like 5 weeks of trying this and trying that like I had to do with my A1200T (which is not right still)

it could as well be the problem with the need for a 3,3V supply. I believe I read somewhere here on the forum that Mediators (all of them?) lack 3,3V connections.

The new Mediator 1200TX (http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=789) has the 3.3v mode
