Hopefully I no longer need an introduction here.. :D But Plaz was able to pick out just about everything in the A2500 I was waiting for my cousin to send me. He's was ALMOST 100%. Here's the link:

First off, I was impressed with the condition of the battery. I tried to move it a bit, but it's rock solid.. suggestions?

This is a 40 Meg hard card... it came with a 240meg in the bay, but I like the red PCB.. :)

I can't wait to get this thing going... DOH! It'll be a while longer--I need a flicker fixer or pay my cousin to ship me the 1084S... Hmm... :D

First off, Pink man Plaz, we think possess some strange and yet unknown power ;P
Secondly the battery looks very good, no corrosion, can you do a volt and amp check on it? Looks good as new, as does the entire board.
Actually thats the cleanest older hardware i've ever, ever, ever, ever... ever seen. Incredible catch for only 66 dollas :-o
Rooms are probably 2.04, without checking.
3.1 roms are all you really need. If its the 25 mhz 030 i'd get a 50 mhz one both cpu and fpu, if its 25 it should read something like 68030rc25 and the crystal should be 50mhz.
Apart form that, you got yourself one heck of an amiga 2000, the 030 is the most backwards compatible of the faster cpu's, you might want to look into a kick start room switcher thinige for further compatibility, however you can softkick to 1.3 if you wish and run whatever application/game you wish. ( what have i missed ? )
Ah yes, find some memory and stuff in the scsi controller.
Seriously! 6 megs in 88?! that thing would have had to have costed'd a million!
What tv station sold you this system? By the looks of it, it would have to have been used in some sort of production, by the state of it, it could have been Steven Spielberg's

that is a nice system.
the sunrise card is the 12bit mono version. the AD1012
the following cribbed from the amiga hardware book
"A full length Zorro II 4 channel (requires an 030 for all 4 channels) 12 bit sound card designed for SMPTE and post production work. The cards contains a 2105 DSP and supports mono sampling at up to 48Khz with anti-aliasing. It also has an LTC SMPTE time code reader, cue and generator. The card also contains 64K of SRAM which is upgradeable to 256K. This card was supplied with Studio 16 for sound production. "
basicly a hard disk audio recorder and playback card. there is an AHI.device driver for its bigger brother, the AD516, but i'm not sure if it works for this one.
the accelerator card is cool, there is an expansion for it called the "rocket launcher" that takes it up to 50Mhz, and the two rows of pins across the top (iirc) can have a big memory board bolted on - up to something like 112Mb if memory serves correctly...

We called them the Konix Speedking's here in the UK ... highly prized because they are virtually indestructible. Fully microswitched and IIRC they were rated at a million clicks (or 10 goes on the vault event in Hypersports for the C64) each before failure.
Mine's still going strong after all these years plus 2 pristine units are waiting in the background should the impossible occur :-D

Mike, how do you do a volt and amp check? Plus, you say you can "softkick" to 1.3.. How do you do that? I assumed I needed a kickstart switcher.
Thanks Darksun, but I still don't know what to do with the damn audio card. Would it only be used with the toaster?
Zee, Yeah, the 500xj is an incredible joystick. I knew if I got another Amiga, I'd have to get one. It cost me a pretty penny, too--but it's worth it.
I've decided to have my cousin ship me the 1084S to go with this thing--I'm already tired of trying to get a flicker fixer that will work with an LCD, and get it sometime this year.
Anyway, this is going to be fun--I'd like to see if I can develop something for it as a free release.
