Title: Unknown resistor size on A4000T
Post by: pontium on September 08, 2008, 01:31:11 AM
Hello there,

A friend of mine, brought me yesterday an escom amiga 4000t,to see if I can fix it.I found a burned resistor near the LISA chip, named R501.The problem is that the resistor has burned too much,so I cannot read the number over it.I tried my luck at google but i didn't find anything usefull, like a service manual or information about the "bom".

If anyone has an amiga 4000T,please reply and tell me what size is this resistor.

Thank you for your time,
Giorgos

I just checked R501 on mine and it either says 1R0 or 1RO. I can't tell if the last digit is a Zero or an capitol "O"

Good Luck,
-Jeff

And this means 1 Ohm (!)

Check the path of that resistor. If it burned down with that low resistance value, something more is wrong.

Thank you guys!
